About the end of Spring

As the semester is coming to an end, all I can think about is all the all-nighters that I pulled because of procrastination and the tears I sheded trying to keep up with all my assignments but in just a couple of days it will all be over!

On a more serious note, the closer I get to graduation I am constantly thinking about my future and can not imagine how it would be like without school being a part of it. I can't imagine not being a student anymore. School has always been part of my life for many years. And thinking about becoming an adult with a career and a future that I have no idea where it's heading....is....kinda...scary.

Just taking life day by day makes me less anxious to know what my future will be like. Knowing that all this hard work will pay off, it definitely is worth it.

About Fitness

I love to run, whenever I can squeeze a run through out my day I do it! In the mornings, afternoon, in the evenings, you name it!! I've done a mile at midnight (do not recommend) but it was totally worth it. Lately with work and scool, I have become busier and busier but I still try to get at least three runs a week.

And that is why I want to share with you my indoor workout motivation on Youtube!! They are a couple who go by FITNESS BLENDER on Youtube. They post workout videos for specific parts of your body and let me tell you they get your body sweating and your heart pumping. I've watched a lot of workout videos on Youtube, but Fitness Blender I fell in love with. You can actually see results from yourself and from them. I think they are truly motivational and if you would like to watch, I have posted a link down below.

If you don't have time to go to the gym or go to the park like me just take an hour or less of your day to watch a video and you'll see that you will feel much better.

About a Proposal

This weekend my boyfriend of 7 years proposed to me. It was a very beautiful experience that I never thought would happen to me but it did! He planned a romantic dinner in San Antonio and asked me to marry him. I said YES.

A lot of people ask me how we make it work since we have been dating for a long time and to be honest I don't think I have any advice to give to other couples. But I can say this....

Relationships are NOT perfect. The arguments can sometimes help us understand our partner and even love them more for who they are. I have had all sorts of arguments with my fiancĂ© and that has not stopped me from apologizing, forgiving and making up.

Also time does not prove anything, just because you've known someone for ten years does not mean you know everything about them. Everyday you learn something new about your significant other. You can date someone for two months and act like a couple who has been dating for two years. It really depends on the couple and how comfortable they are with each other.

I'm so happy to share my excitement and just wanted to write down a few of my thoughts. Next time I will share the story of how we met.

About a Closet

There are just days when you can't find anything to wear. You've just finished trying on about half your closet and realize that still after many outfits you can't seem to find the one you like. Our closest is becoming smaller while our collection of clothes is getting bigger. Does anyone else have this same problem with shoes? An outfit can not be complete without having the perfect pair to go with your outfit.

I know what you're thinking....maybe going on a shopping spree would be a good idea! But wait there's not enough closet space and renovating would be too expensive. If only we had a personal wardrobe designer that would have your outfit ready for the day, it wouldn't be a struggle deciding what to wear for the day.

All this goes through my mind while I have five minutes to spare before I'm late for class. I throw on a T-shirt and some shorts. This has been my go-to outfit since school started and has made my life easier. I go on about my day until the next day when the course of getting ready is repeated over and over again wishing that's it's changed overnight into those walk in closets you see celebrities have in movies.

About a Tiny Polka Dot Bikini

Swim suit season is around the corner which means we all want the perfect body so we can look good  sun tanning at the beach. We sign up for gym memberships to begin working on that new year resolution to cut a few pounds.

We want to look like Victoria Secret models but still eat cookies, pizza and tacos. Sometimes we put ourselves down because we don't look exactly like the women on magazines.

The most important thing that we have to remind ourselves is that being healthy should be our main concern. As long as we feel good on the inside, we will show it on the outside.

Remember you are BEAUTIFUL the way you are, you are you for a reason.

Forget about fitting into that tiny polka dot bikini and just be confident in your own skin.

This was to remind you that everyone else is self conscience of the way they look. You're not alone! Love yourself and everyone will love you for who you are.

Thank you for reading! Xoxo

About a Hairy Situation

It's almost that time of year of sunblock, shorts, relaxing on the beach and oh yeah shaving! I bet you are still stuck on the No Shave November mentality but we are already in the month of February!! Hard to believe, I know so take out your razors, waxing kits or depilator machines and get rid of your hairy business.

When I was in the 6th grade, all my friends were allowed to shave but I was not. We all had P.E our second semester and I was embarrassed to wear shorts but we were required to for a grade. So I took my mom's depilator cream one night and rubbed it on both legs and quickly washed it off hoping it would do the trick and went to bed. The next day in gym class I was confident in wearing my shorts. As I'm changing in the locker room I see patches of hair that didn't wash off. I most definitely did not want to wear my shorts any more. I knew the other girls would notice but I had no other choice then to go out to like  I made it through the entire period  but I was dying inside. After that day, I talked to my mom and asked her if she would allow me to shave, she understood and was ok with it. Now that I'm 21, I don't want to shave.

Getting rid of our unwanted hair takes so much work, some of us just shave our legs but there are others who also get rid of their underarms hair, upper lip, eyebrows and not to mention our best friend down there. Us girls don't judge, we help each other out ;-) Here's a link for a DIY at home wax using sugar, honey and lemon juice. http://www.diynatural.com/sugar-wax-recipe-how-to-make/
If you try it out, let me know if it worked out for you. Talk to you next week, thank you for reading.

About a Bad Hair Day

Today was not one of those days where I wake up early and have time to get ready. Instead it was a day where my alarm did not go off and I woke up late! How can this be? As I'm rushing to get ready for work. I check my alarm and it was programmed to ring at pm not am like it was supposed to. I'm trying to brush my teeth and put on my socks at the same time. I am all dressed and don't know what to do with my hair....

I am remembering when I was younger my dad would style my hair before he took me to school. He would wet my hair and comb it all the way back. He would then slap some gel and finish it off, I remember feeling like a boy. I was embarrassed to show up to school with my hair styled like a boy. I would quickly put it up in a ponytail as soon as I was dropped off at school.

What are your favorite quick and easy hairstyles to save you from a bad hair day? Mine has always been a ponytail whether it was high up and center of my head or low and lazy. To be honest I am just starting to get the hang of braids but there is a saying out there that goes like this "the messier (the braid), the better". So I'll leave you all with that to think about. If you'd like a tutorial on how to's and so comment below and let me know. Until next time!
